CBT is a computer based test that all nurses need to pass, if they are planning to be a registered nurse in UK. This test is also known as Test of Competence Part !. All Nurses can attempt CBT after starting their NMC (Nurses and Midwifery Council) application. Before starting the NMC registration procedure, aspiring nurses should have passed their specific language requirement test (either IELTS Academic – 7 in each band or OET – b in all modules). Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council – KNMC has issued notification for renewal of registration certificates of those who have registered from January 01 20111 to December 31, 2011. No, from October 2014, Nurses who are from outside UK and European Economic Areas(EEA) have to undergo a a 2-part application process.
This process does not require applicants to complete a period of supervised practice
Nurses who have obtained Nursing and Midwifery Council permission before 30 April 2015 to undertake the Overseas Nursing Programme, and be sponsored to undertake a supervised practice placement as part of the programme, which has been approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
