karnataka nursing council registration from other statesEverybody knows how to register with any nursing council for the first time. But most of us have no idea about how to register in another state nursing council after registering with your own state nursing council. For eg. you will not be knowing the formalities required for registering in Karnataka Nursing Council after being registered with Kerala Nursing Council. This article is about hussle free registration procedure while registering with Karnataka state nursing council from any state.

Registering with Karnataka nursing council from any other state

First of all, one thing you have to be sure that you cannot keep more than one nursing registration with you. Previously it was possible for those who have registered som 10 years back. Now none of the state nursing councils are allowing that.

Step One

Apply for a No Objection Certificate from the council with whom you have already registered. This will cost you around Rs. 300. You have to submit your original registration certificate there. If you are from Kerala, this application can be don online. For other nursing councils, you need to submit a written applicaiton along with DD DD, Orginal Registration certificate, xth standard copy (for dob proof). The nursing councils will send your NOC to the state nursing council directly (it will not be hand over to you).

Step 2

Go to your concerned nursing council wher you want to register. Tell the NOC No (No. with which they are sending the NOC). They will find out your NOC and will give it to you. Take a xerox and keep with you.

Step 3

After collecting NOC, get a Challan from office staff (for Rs. 500 in Karnataka Nursing Council), go to the concerned bank (Central Bank of India) and get the challan paid. Come back to office.

Step 4

Collect application form for registration as nurse who has studied outside that state. Fill it, along with that attach all marklist copies from tenth std to degree/diploma level, Aadhar card copy, two photos, old registration copy (must) as well as noc photocopy.

Step 5

Submit those documents in the office, they will seal on back of all of your nursing certificates and will give back to you along with an envelop.

Step 6
Submit all of those for scanning and uploading to the system.

Receive back and verify all of your original certificates.

Step 7

Submit all photocopies including NOC, all marklist copy, degree/diploma copy, last registration copy, aadhar copy and two photos along with your application form to the office.

Your new registration certificate will be sent by registered post within 30 – 45 days.

Note: There are many agents standing outside KNC helping for registration. They will charge you a minimum of Rs. 2000 to get it done. But from my experience you can do it within one day and cost will be only 300 – 400 rupees.
